On Tuesday, 20 October, the biggest Swedish mission in a decade arrived in Israel to visit projects they supported, and to inaugurate new ones. The mission was accompanied by Mr. Ulf Cahn, director general of the Keren Hayesod Sweden Appeal.
During their weeklong stay in Israel, the mission visited projects all over the country, from Tell Hai College and the Children's Village in Afula Illit to in Tel Aviv and the Alumot School of Science and Arts in Be'er Sheva, the Youth Village in Kiryat Yearim and the MASA project in Jerusalem.
The mission inaugurated many exiting new projects including a nutrition laboratory at Tel Hai College, a kitchen and sports field at the Afula Illit Children's Village, an observation point at the Alumot School of Science and Arts in Be'er Sheva, and a learning center at Kiryat Yearim Youth Village and also held a cornerstone laying ceremony at Amigour’s Hashalom day care center for the elderly in Tel Aviv for the renovations the Swedish Campaign is supporting.

During their stay in Israel the mission also visited several projects they supported to see the progress and improvements their help made possible. These included the Neve Michael Youth Village, Amigour’s Hashalom day care center for the elderly, Beit Scandinavia Day Center and Home for the elderly, the Ilanot Day Care Center for the disabled and the Yud Alef Day Care Center for the elderly.

Kiryat Yearim Youth Village – inauguration of the new learning center
A very busy week for the Swedish mission culminated with a visit to Jerusalem, where they visited the City of David, the Old City, and the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum and met with participants in the MASA project before returning home.
