THE NEED
Growing assimilation and perilously high intermarriage rates pose an existential threat to the future of the Jewish people. More than 50% of Jewish children throughout the world receive no Jewish education.2.5 million young people are losing their connection to Judaism - distancing themselves from their communities, their heritage, and their people.Jewish communities are shrinking. Not surprisingly, support for Israel and Jewish causes is on the decline.
KEREN HAYESOD’S RESPONSE
To combat this challenge to Jewish survival, Keren Hayesod is spearheading a concerted, global effort to instill a sense of Jewish identity and connection to Israel in the lives of the next generation - and their hearts. Numerous programs designed to upgrade the quality of Jewish education, increase Jewish literacy, and build a strong Zionist identity impact on hundreds of thousands of young Jews around the world every year. By reconnecting Jewish youth to their historic heritage and training educators and community leaders,Keren Hayesod is working to ensure the Jewish future.
