Dr. Daniel Hoffman from Berlin, and amateur long-distance runner, has called upon his friends and acquaintances, relatives and colleagues, to back him in two of the world’s most important marathon races – the Berlin Marathon, which will take place on September 20 on the world’s fastest marathon course, and, on November 1, the legendary New York City Marathon, which is among the pre-eminent long-distance annual running events in the United States and one of the largest marathons in the world.
Daniel Hoffman will be running to benefit the Etgarim program – and specifically children suffering from cancer - which is supported by Keren Hayesod. Etgarim helps vulnerable populations through interactive computer learning tailored to their specific needs, teaching them inventive thinking and coping skills.
“I want to to run in Berlin and New York as a sign of solidarity with the sick children in Israel,“ says Hoffman. He will bear all the costs of participating in the marathon – all the money that is donated to Keren Hayesod, which is tax deductible, will benefit the sick children. His goal is to raise at least €42,000 to finance at least seven Etgarim classes.
“The children are counting on your support!“ adds Hoffman.
