KH-UIA Leadership Meets with PM Ehud Olmert

   "Mr. Prime Minister, before I begin my formal address, I would like to say that all of us, here in Keren Hayesod – UIA, share your prayers for the safe and healthy return of Gilad Shalit. I am pleased to report on behalf of Keren Hayesod – UIA  that 2008 saw the highest transfer of funds from our campaigns in ten years.

We would like to say at this critical time that Keren Hayesod – UIA stands staunchly behind the Government of Israel, as we always have in the past. It is also important for us to stress the value we place on this Coordinating Committee as a crucial vehicle for forging strong, effective links between the State of Israel and the Diaspora, through the key institutions, JAFI, UJC and Keren Hayesod.
I would particularly like to express our deep and heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding support and cooperation we have consistently received from you, Prime Minister, throughout your time in Office. Your exceptional readiness to assist and endorse Keren Hayesod – UIA, and to appear in person at major functions, has had an irrefutably positive and invigorating effect on our campaigns, stimulating confidence and enthusiasm in our work for Israel and acting as a source of inspiration for Keren Hayesod supporters the world over.
