Since 1920, Keren Hayesod – United Israel Appeal (the Foundation Fund) has been at the forefront of Israel's growth and progress. Founded as the fundraising arm of the Zionist movement, its history has been inextricably intertwined with that of the State of Israel.

KH brought tens of thousands of Jews to Eretz Yisrael, helped absorb them, established over 900 urban and rural settlements while providing the newcomers with homes and jobs, and developed the economic, educational, and cultural framework for the state-on-the-way, along with industrial enterprises. With the return of the Jewish people (the ”gathering in of the exiles”) the Promised Land was rejuvenated.

We all continue to direct our prayers many times a day, every day to Jerusalem the eternal capital of Israel. In the moments of our greatest joy and our greatest pain, Jerusalem is in our hearts and in our minds. We invited you today to be a part of fulfilling the biblical prophecies.

"these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:7
