I was lucky enough to represent the IUA (UIA) in Pretoria, South Africa for the first time at a Keren Hayesod conference. It was the most exciting, enlightening, fun, informative event I have ever attended! TO be coupled with the President's conference was just the cherry on top! I am very proud to be working for an organisation in SA which is committed to raising funds for projects of Keren Hayesod. The conference also allowed me to meet so many new people with the same passion from so many different countries. It just re-enforced how much Israel needs the support of Jews and non-Jews from the Diaspora and how, sometimes in very difficult circumstances, the devoted workers manage to raise funds - no mean feat in this current economic climate. Visiting some of the projects made it all very real and heightened my passion for them and enabled me with conviction to tell future donors what they are going to be giving money for. I will never forget this experience!
