As the security situation in the South escalates, the Jewish Agency and Keren Hayesod have begun to remove the children in the South and young teens away from the range of the rockets being fired. It is considered to be an act that the children should benefit from and help build their resilience.

Proficiently planned and executed, respite activities help the children overcome the crisis situation. Hundreds of children were driven by buses to recreation centers and places such as the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem, Azrieli center in Tel Aviv, and Parks in the country.

Children from Sderot, Sdot Negev, Hof Ashkelon, Ofakim, Eshkol, Shaar Hanegev and Netivot  are included in the program. In the photo below the children of Ibim who arrived from Ethiopia a few weeks ago, are shown on their way to a respite location.
