Keren Hayesod –UIA this morning  handed a  one million dollar check to the Minister of Internal Security, Avi Dichter, at his office in Sderot,  for the benefit of the residents of the Gaza Envelope.  The money is designated for building bomb shelters and purchasing mobile shelters.  The check was given to Minister Dichter by Eliezer (Moodi) Sandberg, World Chairman of Keren Hayesod, and Yohanna Arbib-Perugia, Chair, KH World Board of Trustees. 

"The donors and the activists mobilized from the very first minute," said Eliezer Sandberg.  "This is the result.  As in the past, Keren Hayesod will always stand by the State of Israel for every need."

"We thank  Keren Hayesod 's donors for showing solidarity, as usual, and  demonstrating that we are one and stand by each other," Yohanna Arbib-Perugia.  "This is our state and our country.  No one will take it from us."

"Keren Hayesod was the first to identify this need and rushed to assist," responded Minister Dichter, noting  that the  bomb shelters  are of crucial, life-saving,  importance  for people  going  to work and other places.
