The Prime Minister told the student volunteers gathered at the Center, located in the heart of Beer Sheva’s Old City, at the end of a discussion on student settlement in the Negev: "You’re settling the land, while creating new hubs of settlement. What you’re doing holds out great promise for the State of Israel and I bless you for that. You’re the greatest!”
Ayalim is an association of students that promotes the physical and social development of the Negev and the Galilee. They live in Ayalim villages in distressed areas working with children, youth, and other vulnerable populations for the benefit of the communities.
The Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister, together with Ruvik Danilovich, Mayor of Beer Sheva, Matan Dahan, head of Ayalim, heads of local authorities, and Ayalim volunteers, participated in a discussion on settlement and activism.
Matan Dahan spoke about dialogue among different generations regarding the future of the settlement in the periphery. He emphasized the personal aspect of the event through stories about individual student volunteers and their contribution to changing the face of society through their activism.
