Aviva Panush-Bendrihem

Women's Division Geneva Chairperson

Aviva Panush-Bendrihem
The European Lion of Judah weekend that took place in Geneva, Switzerland on May 13-15, was a wonderful success. This came as no surprise to anyone who knew that Aviva Panush-Bendrihem, the dynamic Geneva Women's Division Chair, was the "dynamo" behind it – with the superb cooperation of Nadine Bernstein and Nadia Braunschweig (Nadia will organize the next European LOJ meeting in Salonica, Greece).
Aviva has worked as a volunteer in the Jewish community of Geneva for over 20 years, and about seven years ago she joined Keren Hayesod, in which she has been a leader ever since. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that in 2008, she managed to revive the Geneva Women's Division and to propel it into a very important position in the French-Speaking Switzerland Campaign. Prompted by Aviva the Geneva Women's Campaign adopted the Youth Futures project in Afula as its main Campaign target.
A very strong personal bond has been created between the Geneva Women's Division and the children and trustees in Afula, which can indeed serve as a model of Jewish and Zionist solidarity and generosity towards those in Israel who need a helping hand.
For this and for her great dedication, generosity and enthusiasm, we wish to express to Aviva the thanks and appreciation of the worldwide Keren Hayesod family.
May you go from strength to strength!
