Esther Frenkiel recently stepped down as the UIA Victoria Chairperson. Esther has served the State of Israel, the Jewish people, new immigrants and youth-at-risk with all her heart and soul. She has inspired donors in the Melbourne community with her knowledge, wisdom and experience and has been a shining example and mentor to all those who were privileged to work with her.

Esther has been a UIA lay-leader since 1997, when she became Women’s Division Chair, a position she held for close to 10 years. She served as UIA Victoria Chairperson from 2006 until 2011. She also volunteered for many other organisations where she held various portfolios.

In tribute to her achievements, the Victoria Campaign has established the Esther Frenkiel UIA Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship will enable young candidates with an interest in the work of KH-UIA to participate in a leadership program in Israel and become the next generation of leaders, following in Esther’s footsteps.
The worldwide family of Keren Hayesod-UIA thanks Esther for her years of commitment and dedication to Israel through the UIA Victoria Campaign and wishes her all the best in the future!
