KH Honorary President

Julia Koschitzky
During the recent meetings of our World Leadership in Jerusalem (Oct. 21-22), Mrs. Julia Koschitzky was appointed KH Honorary President, succeeding Mendel Kaplan z"l in this prestigious position. A long-time KH leader and major donor, Mrs. Koschitzky served as Chair of the Keren Hayesod World Board of Trustees from June 1992 to June 1997, after having completed a two-year term as President of the United Israel Appeal of Canada. She received the Keren Hayesod Israel Goldstein Prize for distinguished leadership in 1997. Since then, she has served on the KH and JAFI Executives. Julia Koschitzky’s whole life has been dedicated to Yiddishkeit - something that she and her husband Henry have imparted to their four children, along with their involvement and active participation in Jewish communal life. A proud grandmother of 18 grandchildren, she remains a central figure in the KH World and in Jewish and Israel affairs in general.
