Keren Hayesod was honoured to participate in a special meeting with former IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. General (Res.) Gadi Eizenkot honouring Frank Lowy, AC.
Lowy fought with the Golani Brigade's 12th Battalion during the War of Independence in 1948. Eizenkot is also a former soldier of the same brigade.

On Friday at the Ministry of Defense, the outgoing Chief of Staff took time from his final days in the role to present Lowy with a special new book about his historically important brigade.

Lowy currently resides in Sydney, Australia. Lowy is a recipient of the Nadiv Award, one of Keren Hayesod's highest honours. He is a dedicated and generous supporter to the State of Israel and Keren Hayesod.

We send our best wishes to Eizenkot and wish a mazel tov to his successor, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, as he takes up this important role!
