2023 Yakir Keren Hayesod Award recipient

Sydney, Australia

Immigrating to Australia with his parents and two brothers from South Africa in 1982, Lance Rosenberg graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance. He then went on to found Australasian-based boutique investment bank Gleneagle Securities, offering a full suite of financial services to retail, wholesale, and institutional investors. Lance married Julie; together, they have four twin daughters and one grandson. His interest in Israel started in early childhood as he grew up in a strongly Zionist environment, surrounded by philanthropy—a natural prelude to his joining UIA’s Young Leadership upon arrival in Australia—and his unbroken engagement with Keren Hayesod and the various divisions within UIA Young Leadership is testament to his commitment, passion, and visionary leadership. Lance has always ensured that the organization’s needs were front and center, and the diligence with which he approaches all of his many endeavors inspires all who know him.

Lance has an impressive list of UIA roles under his belt, including Chairman of UIA NSW, President of UIA NSW, later Federal President of UIA Australia, and currently Chairman of the Presidents Division.

Lance has received a wide range of awards and recognitions for his passionate and devoted service on behalf of the people of Israel and for his outstanding leadership as campaign President of UIA Australia. But his endeavors are not limited to philanthropy—he holds leadership positions in many communal organizations and is an avid sports enthusiast, earning several gold and silver medals in various Masters Tennis competitions.
