After four long, very long days and nights, Lauren and her two daughters are now safe in Warsaw
We received this testimony this morning from Udi Lehavi, a Keren Hayesod representative in Germany who is now volunteering on the Ukrainian-Polish border:
“Mission accomplished!
After four long, very long days and nights, Lauren and her two daughters are now safe in Warsaw, waiting for some paperwork to be done before making Aliya to Israel.

I met them after that they crossed the border, leaving a husband and a brother back home without knowing if and when they are going to meet again. Each of them had a backpack with some belongings that they managed to take with them. Traveling to the border made no sense so they walked almost 20 KM to reach the border with Poland, together with many other thousands of people, old and young.

They knew that they were not left alone, they knew that the Jewish Agency, its people, and Keren Hayesod are waiting for them. I feel my self privileged to have assisted them in reaching Warsaw and hope to see them in Israel”

Your support is needed now in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Ukrainian Jews during this crisis.
