Honoring Israel’s fallen lone soldiers

Yom Hazikaron memorial ceremony was held at the National Institutions compound in Jerusalem, honoring Israel’s fallen lone soldiers and their admirable devotion and commitment to their new homeland.

Lone soldiers are incredibly inspiring to us—leaving their homes and families behind to make Aliyah and defend our people.

Seventeen lone soldiers have been killed since October 7.

One of them is Netanel Young z”l, who in his will, requested that his parents make Aliyah and live in Israel.

Netanel’s parents fulfilled his will and immigrated to Israel.

We were honored by their participation in today’s ceremony.

We, the worldwide Keren Hayesod-UIA family, offer our sincerest condolences to the families of the victims. We embrace them to let them know they are not alone, and we wish them relief and a path to healing.
