Meet ADI’s Newest Neighbours

Home PageOur ImpactnewsMeet ADI’s Newest Neighbours

Keren Hayesod is proud to share updates from ADI, a program we support that is Israel’s most comprehensive provider of residential care for individuals with severe disabilities, the leader of the national rehabilitation movement, and an international advocate for disability inclusion, equity and access.

This autumn, several young families and more than 60 national service volunteers moved into the new residential neighbourhood at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran. Shortly afterwards, a group of international volunteers joined them. In just a few weeks, the beautiful housing complex has been transformed into a warm and welcoming community.

Working in conjunction with “Tozeret Ha’Aretz,” a movement that’s creating communities in Israel’s geosocial periphery, ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran has also opened housing in the new neighbourhood for students training in the health professions – those who can contribute to and benefit from the village’s ongoing activities personally and professionally.

Together, these diverse groups comprise a young, vibrant and inclusive community, bringing a fresh outlook and energy to southern Israel.
We wish ADI and the residents of this new neighbourhood much success!
